Sex and the City Episode 1: Sex and the City

We did it!  We had our first podcast!  Thank you so much to everyone listening as we stumble through working out the "kinks" of the first season.  I really wanted to start a blog to expand on other themes we have from the show.  Please drop us a comment or follow us on the social media we have on the sidebar.

  • JD came up with greeting everyone with saying "Guys, Gals, and non-binary Pals," and I love him for it.  I love JD, and I'm so excited to be doing this project with him.

  • We talked a little bit about how "The Right Guy" doesn't really exist.  I'd love to hear from the audience that have found "The One" and if they feel like that's not really true. Thoughts?

  • "Having Sex Like a Man" vs "Casual Sex": JD can do, I can't.  Your thoughts?
  • Are Clubs Just Loud Bars?  I could write a dissertation on this guys, so please tell me the truth.
  • Making Sure Your Partner is Having an Orgasm: Carrie does something that most woman still wouldn't go out and do, which is get an orgasm and not worry about her partner get one.  Good for her, or an asshole move?  I still can't decide.  Neither can she.
  • A Sexual Anthropologist...this is something I feel like JD and I now are as well...only we aren't getting paid, so just sluts instead of prostitutes.  Slut Shaming.  Shut your whore mouth.  Abso-fuckingly-lutey.
  • The Miranda Problem: All Strong Women like to be dominated a little in the relationship.  Yay or Nah?  I honestly think that it's so hard to be the badass that I am every single day, I'm tired.  Someone pick me up and hold me and take care of me because I'm so fucking exhausted. OR, is it just that strong women are having to be strong to hide that they are sensitive?  Just me?  Okay.

Humblebrag Beginnings

Welcome guys, gals, and non-binary pals!

2 friends decided that they would watch Sex and the City and discuss themes as they compared them to modern day and their own life.

A little background on us: Joe is in a long term committed relationship with a man, and Paige is a straight singleton, although she starts out the podcast in a casual but exclusive relationship.

If you want to delve deeper into the episodes, please check back with us on this blog!
